Michael Kenner is
a Nebraska native. He graduated from the University of
Colorado in 1975 with a degree in Environmental Biology. He
followed his grandfather's footsteps to the mountains of
Southern Utah to become involved in a recreational property
development. Mike became Director of Operations of Meadow
View Heights, Inc. in 1977. He soon learned all the aspects
of real estate development including construction, dealing
with governmental agencies, accounting, and sales.
Mr. Kenner formed J.M. Kenner Excavators in 1979 with the
demand for site work in the mountain area.
Mike became a licensed real estate agent in 1982 to handle
the increasing number of resales with the maturity of the
subdivision. He joined a Cedar City firm Coldwell Banker
Corry Realty and became Branch Broker in 1989. Mr. Kenner
left the franchise to form and independent brokerage, Duck
Creek Realty, in 1994 with partners, Jerry and Bonnie
Koller. The office showed progressive growth with 1996 sales
of 3.5 million and currently has 8 agents.
The excavating company evolved into a complete mountain site
services company that includes snow cat transportation to
cabins during the long winter months.
Mike's hobbies include snow boarding; skiing; golf; mountain
biking; upland game bird hunting; C U and corn husker
football; and following singer, Amy Grant when ever she is
on tour. He also greatly enjoys visiting his six nieces, two
nephews, and many young friends he has "adopted" over the
years.
